Dec. 18, 2018 - eTradeWire -- MILLENNIALS ARE STAYING LONGER IN DE-FACTO RELATIONSHIPS AND THOSE RELATIONSHIPS ARE FAILING AT A HIGHER RATE THAN THEIR MARRIED PEERS.

Brett and Marie Jones, international relationship experts said today that "millennials are shunning marriage, instead choosing co-habitation and over the last decade, preferring to not marry at all. According to research in the United states and Australia that choice is causing their relationships to fail at an even higher rate than traditional marriages."

Whilst the crude divorce rate(no of divorces per thousand) is declining, the break up of co-habiting couples is increasing. Various reports suggest the resulting social devastation is costing the United States $42 billion a year not including clear evidence that children of divorced parents, have higher rates of clinical depression, increased  long-term risk for major depression, seek formal psychiatric care at higher rates and In the case of men, are more likely to commit suicide and have lower life expectancies.

Mrs Jones went on to say that "this can be changed with education and training and understanding the real and significant differences in communication styles of men and women. We need to devote community resources to stop this social devastation at the source."
