eTradeWire News/10467074
ALEXANDRIA, Va. - March 26, 2018 - eTradeWire -- On behalf of the MATHCOUNTS Board of Directors, board chairman Charles W. Wampler, Ph.D., released the following statement today:
I am thrilled to announce we have selected Kristen Chandler to be the executive director of the MATHCOUNTS Foundation, effective April 1, 2018. Kristen, who is currently associate executive director, joined MATHCOUNTS in 2001 as the lead mathematics content creator and has since held leadership positions covering every aspect of the organization's operations.
As program director and deputy director, Kristen not only oversaw our programming and volunteer support, but also managed the successful launch of the National Math Club. A former mathematics teacher, Kristen designed new educator and student outreach initiatives at MATHCOUNTS to deepen and expand our impact in underserved communities.
With her in-depth knowledge of the organization, expertise in designing and scaling innovative ideas and proven success supporting and challenging the staff, we are confident she will do a phenomenal job leading MATHCOUNTS.
