FOXBOROUGH, Mass. - eTradeWire -- PAE FILMS is bringing its second feature film, "Stonegate" to Showcase Cinema de Lux Patriot Place for an exclusive one night screening on May 18th, 2025. Tickets to the event sold out within three days of being on sale. Guests will be joined by director Daniel Groom (Alternate Ground), along with several stars of the film.
"I'm really excited to finally have the opportunity to showcase this film," said Groom. "After several years of going through casting and set changes, it will be a relief to finally be able to sit back and enjoy it with those who helped create this movie."
Stonegate was filmed in Massachusetts, utilizing Tewksbury State Hospital as the film's main backdrop. Other locations include Cafe Venice in Norwood and private residences in Walpole and Lowell. This will be the first screening to kick off a festival run.
About Stonegate:
Stonegate is a drama/thriller that follows the story of four teens, Nolan, Jaxson, Diego and Skyler as they explore an abandoned former mental institution. Inside, they come across a VHS tape that captured the murder of a patient committed by an attending doctor. The death was witnessed by the hospital's inhouse priest and covered up for fear of reputation. Nolan must then deal with the paranormal consequence of unveiling this deep, hidden secret.
