Maryland Therapeutic Riding Receives Grant from the Brian & Patricia Giese Foundation
eTradeWire News/10794443
ANNAPOLIS, Md. - eTradeWire -- Maryland Therapeutic Riding (MTR) is proud to announce that it has been awarded a generous grant from the Brian & Patricia Giese Foundation to support its Day on the Farm program. This funding will enable MTR to continue providing transformative experiences to community groups through equine-assisted services, fostering healing, learning, and personal growth.
MTR is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals through the healing power of horses. By offering equine-assisted services such as adaptive riding, equine learning, rehabilitative therapies, equine-assisted psychotherapy, and other special programs, MTR provides a safe and supportive environment where participants can develop confidence, strength, communication skills, and emotional resilience.
The Day on the Farm program allows community organizations to bring groups to MTR's 25-acre farm in Crownsville, where they engage in hands-on experiences through a selection of opportunities and direct interactions with MTR's equine partners. In 2024 alone, MTR welcomed more than 300 participants from 16 different community organizations, providing them with opportunities for personal discovery and healing.
