Marigold Furniture Launches Semi-Custom Floral Sofa Brand Bringing Trade-Only Chintz Fabrics to the Retail Market
eTradeWire News/10831729
As pattern and color stage a full comeback in interior design, a new brand makes the classic chintz fabrics long reserved for professionals available to everyone
ATLANTA - eTradeWire -- Marigold Furniture, a new semi-custom upholstered furniture brand, officially launches today with a collection of six sofa silhouettes covered in over 20 classic chintz and floral fabrics, most of which have never been available outside of professional design showrooms.
The launch arrives at a moment when the design world is embracing pattern, color, and layered interiors with renewed confidence. After years of minimalism and neutral palettes dominating the conversation, decorators and homeowners alike are returning to rooms that are expressive, warm, and unafraid of a bold print. The grandmillennial movement, with its unapologetic love of chintz, florals, and collected-over-time interiors, has moved from niche to mainstream, and Marigold was built for exactly that shift.
The brand was founded by Kevin Francis O'Gara, fifth-generation Atlantan and founder of the design blog Thou Swell, as part of his broader design portfolio that includes Kevin Francis Design and the Striped Sofa Co. Marigold's founding premise is straightforward: the most beautiful chintz and floral fabrics in the world have historically been trade-only, meaning retail customers could only access them through an interior designer. Marigold changes that.

"There's a whole world of stunning traditional chintz patterns that most people have never been able to buy," said O'Gara. "And right now, people are genuinely ready for them. Marigold exists to close that gap: to put beautiful floral fabrics on made-to-order furniture that anyone can order."
Marigold Furniture's six sofa styles: Avignon, Florence, Giverny, Granada, Ravello, and Seville, are benchmade in California and Texas using FSC-certified wood frames and CertiPUR-US certified foam, with an impressive production window of just four to six weeks. Fabric collections are named after famous gardens around the world, including the Indian gardens Shalimar, Pinjore, and Brindavan, a nod to chintz's origins as a textile tradition rooted in the Indian subcontinent.
Both retail and trade pricing are available, and fabric by the yard can be purchased directly for decorators and DIY projects alike. Marigold Furniture is available now at marigoldfurniture.com and floralsofas.com, with ongoing campaigns on Instagram at @MarigoldFurniture.
