Her last assignment was two years as the Battalion Commander of a Military Police Training Battalion. While in the Army, Hamilton earned the Legion of Merit Medal, Bronze Star Medal, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal and many other awards and decorations.
