Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame Gala - Postponed
eTradeWire News/10826514
The Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame (LISPHOF) announces the postponement of the LISPHOF Gala scheduled for February 21st in collaboration with the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) and their LIJSL Convention.
MELVILLE, N.Y. - eTradeWire -- The Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame (LISPHOF) has announced that it will postpone this year's Gala, scheduled for February 21st, until next year.
LISPHOF Founder Kevin L. McCrudden said, "we have been partnering with the Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) since the beginning, 14 years. We are partners and teammates. The LIJSL will be holding their LIJSL Convention at the Huntington Hilton for the first time in several years to Celebrate their 60th Anniversary, the FIFA World Cup and the World Cup Final being in New York. Truly historic. The LISPHOF celebrates the greatest players to come from Long Island, many of which played in the LIJSL. So, we do not want to be a distraction, but rather an addition to the celebration! This is why we are postponing this year's LISPHOF Gala to focus and enhance the LIJSL Convention and look forward to working with LIJSL to bring back the LISPHOF Gala in March of 2027, our 15th year!"

Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) President Andrew Seabury stated, "the Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame is important to us and Long Island soccer history. As one of the largest youth soccer leagues in America, we have produced thousands of youth soccer players that have gone on to play college soccer and beyond. However, as we know, there are less than 1% of all athletes that become professionals. A true accomplishment. And that's why we are proud to honor these amazing players that are from Long Island that have risen to the professional ranks."
The LIJSL Convention, honoring their 60 years, will be held February 27th through March 1st. For more information go to: https://lijsoccer.com/convention/
The Long Island Soccer Player Hall of Fame is currently hosted at the LIJSL Offices in Ronkonkoma and will have a Booth or presence at the LIJSL Convention.
