Recently we attended planned works for one of our clients where the design for a building modification / extension was complete and construction works planned to commence. During the visit our certified technician located all services within the planned construction exclusion zone. Utility location and depth was clearly pinpointed; we identified that the electrical main feed to the switch board ran directly through the centre of the driveway which was not in accordance with the received plans and we could not see it detailed on the switchboard legend. The depth was at 100mm which complies with the relevant standards although resulted in a change in design or a possible re-route.

Without our assistance the construction team could have exposed or damaged the electrical feed with the potential of someone being injured or even a fatality. During any construction excavation works the unknown location of any utilities creates a high-risk activity.

A full detailed report is issued on completion of all works and with a 10 out of 10 success rate, why not reduce your project risk to as low as reasonably practicable and add us as one of your main controls.
