LIFEwalk 2019 3 laps to change destinies, 3 laps to change the world

eTradeWire News/10539293
CAPE CORAL, Fla. - eTradeWire -- On Saturday, December 7th, families, workmates, teams, churches, and organizations will gather as the sun rises over Jaycee Park in Cape Coral for LIFEwalk 2019 (4125 SE 20th Place, Cape Coral 33904 | at the end of Beach Parkway)

LIFEwalk is scheduled to begin at 7:45am with Registration, and a Complimentary Breakfast provided in-kind by local business, and the walk will commence at 8:45 am, concluding at around 11:00 am.

For ten years, supporters of Lifeline Family Center have gathered, some even bringing their dogs, for LIFEwalk. "This isn't a typical walk-a-thon event. We have a purpose for each of the three laps we walk. It's a chance for our "family of supporters" to see that they aren't the only ones. Last year, my husband and I had a miscarriage. Lap one is to remember that we don't have to continue living in pain from losing our first child. It's very healing for us." said Public Relations and Marketing Coordinator Bethany Freer.

Those looking to sign up as a team, family, individual, or organization can do so at www.LIFEwalkLFC.org. Event Sponsorships are still available for businesses and churches. "Being a LIFEwalk Event Sponsorship is a great way for a business to show their support. It's not about politics here. It's about saving the lives of young women from an environment of neglect, destructive habits of self-preservation, homelessness, and poverty. It's about making a pathway for their children to grow up in a loving, safe, and financially stable environment. We want to be part of making an impact on what Southwest Florida could look like even 20 years from now. If we want to see crime and addictions decrease, we have to start changing the cycle now."

LIFEwalk is an annual fundraiser to benefit Lifeline Family Center. In the current residential program, Lifeline Family Center serves up to 12 young women, ages 16 to 25, and up to 24 babies at a time. In the Outreach Ministry program, more than 6,000 women have received assistance with material needs, adoption counseling, and resource referrals. The non-profit also operates a 24/7 Pregnancy Helpline, provides free pregnancy tests, free ultrasounds by appointment, and does outreach to all areas of Lee County, including all college campuses.
