Libraries for Kids, Int'l CEO Presents to Beaufort, SC Rotary Club

Laura Winkel CEO, presents to Beaufort, SC Rotary Club, sharing Libraries for Kids story and invites the Rotary Club to join their International grant application.
BLUFFTON, S.C. - eTradeWire -- The CEO of Libraries for Kids, Int'l, spoke to members of the Beaufort Rotary Club on Wednesday. Libraries for Kids, Int'l, a nonprofit organization that provides access to books for African primary school students.
During the meeting, the CEO shared stories about how their libraries are making a difference in children's lives. "Libraries are more than just books," she said. "They are places where kids can dreams, learn, explore, and grow their minds."
She explained that Libraries for Kids works in Africa and has provided access to over 1.1 million books to their primary school students inspiring young minds. These libraries include resource and recreational books to expand students' mindsets beyond their issued textbooks. She went on to say, "it's not uncommon for 30 to 50 students to share one textbook because of limited resources."

Members of the Rotary club asked questions about how they can help support Libraries for Kids within their mission. The CEO collaborated and invited the Beaufort Rotary Club to join their international grant that is currently underway.
The CEO and executive board members of Libraries for Kids had a meeting with several board members, including the 2025 appointed President of the club, Ron Garrett, to collaborate the efforts on the grant.
Libraries for Kids is dedicated to making sure children access to resources that can help them not only dream but succeed in life. The organization believes that strong minds are key to strong communities.
The Beaufort Rotary Club members appreciated their inspiring presentation and enjoyed learning more about their mission and how they can help children in Africa. The meeting ended with an expanded awareness of Libraries for Kids impact and continued support from Beaufort Rotary Club with their international grant and beyond.
