TORONTO - eTradeWire -- The Event

Lady Arcaders: Out of Bounds 2ronto is a women and femme speedrunning event, being held as part of Toronto Games Week 2025. As Lady Arcaders' second in-person event, it will be held at Society Clubhouse in Toronto, Canada, and simultaneously broadcast online at twitch.tv/ladyarcaders on June 15th & 16th, starting at 12pm ET.

Toronto Games Week is a celebration of playable arts and culture with a collective of coordinated events held by dozens of organizations, creators, curators, companies, artists, and game developers!

Out of Bounds 2ronto will also be rebroadcast in multiple languages: Speedruns Español and Japanese Restream will restream the event in Spanish and Japanese on their Twitch channels respectively!

Japanese Restream will broadcast the event concurrently, while Speedruns Español will broadcast the event on July 25th & 26th.

The Schedule

Whether you're a fan of classic pixelated escapes or new high-definition adventures, there's something for everyone. Escape from the City and join us on Sunday as ShinobuFujiko opens our event with a run of Sonic 1 as Amy! Things keep rolling along while Walgrey cruises us through PlatinumQuest's marble-based physics, and even devs join in on the fun when Metroid Crime runs the spiky gauntlet of VVVVVV with developer Terry Cavanagh providing commentary! Starting Day 2, Abbie takes us on the tropical adventure of a lifetime in Like a Dragon: Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii. Retro and modern go head-to-head when MrsCandyria and SnowballSMB showcase Pokémon Snap and New Pokémon Snap respectively, and the twists and turns go straight to the end, where t0zzle shows off Super Mario Bros. 3 with a randomizer spin.

Society Clubhouse is an accessible, women-owned, community-driven space located at 967 College Street in Toronto's West End. The venue will have seating space available, with food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages available for purchase.

Lady Arcaders is an all-women's gaming collective, founded to showcase the passion and skills of women and femmes. Getting involved in the speedrunning and general gaming spaces can be very daunting, so the group can serve as a springboard in and a space to form friendships and build community.
