SACRAMENTO, Calif. - eTradeWire -- The Los Angeles County Legislative Delegation responded to Governor Gavin Newsom's proposed 2026–27 State Budget and its impacts on Los Angeles County, noting the proposal's thoughtful and cautious approach to protecting Californians amid ongoing federal uncertainty.
The budget continues critical investments in wildfire recovery, infrastructure, and long-term planning for major international events, including preparations for the 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Delegation members are particularly encouraged by the proposed $154.8 million investment to improve safety and accessibility at Exposition Park, the California Science Center, and the California African American Museum.
