CINCINNATI - eTradeWire -- By: Sophia Prescott of British News
"A fat old man has disturbed my day, coming to tell me that he has sold my childhood to a museum in Cincinnati." -A.M. Homes
In 1788 the town of Losantville was born, and named from its border connection with Kentucky. But in 1819, the town was incorporated into a city. The town became popular, and the population grew substantially. The city was named Cincinnati; after the ancient Roman hero Lucius Quinctius Cincinnatus, a hero of the Roman Republic. The city of Cincinnati was mainly populated by people from the military, and so it was said that this renaming was appropriate. As Cincinnati became more developed more things were noticed like the many vineyards in its surrounding hills, and so the nickname of the Queen City was spoken by many of the city's inhabitants. As of 2020, the city has a population of 309,317 says Brian Planalp of Fox19 news media. A major report in September 2021 by Fox19's Jennifer Edwards Baker about the increased crime rate of Cincinnati; revealed that in 2020 it was 94 homicides, and 486 shootings. A 28.7% increase from the year of 2019. According to the Elk law firm statistics, at the start of the year of 2021 in the state of Ohio there were almost 10,000 alcohol related car crashes, and in December of the same year there were over 54,000 car accidents with about 1,300 fatalities. But some changes are coming to the state of Ohio in 2022. The minimum age to serve alcohol will be 18, and restrictions on those brewing from home as well as fermenters will be exempt from certain liquor law permits. The Senate Bill 102, will also allow charities to give alcohol beverages as prizes. A resident of Cincinnati; born, and raised has released a song, and book about his first hand traumatic experiences living in the city of Cincinnati.

"Honestly, in the beginning, it was really tough. Coming from Cincinnati, Ohio, I was just a girl who had a dream, which was to go to Los Angeles, have a career, and to be able to support my family. To have a dream like that, and you know, you're not ready." - Carmen Electra
