Institute of Healthcare Launches Hybrid Emergency Medical Technician Program To Meet Growing Demand

OCEANSIDE, Calif. - eTradeWire -- The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates the demand for Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) is expected to increase by 11 percent from 2020 to 2030, faster than the average for all occupations. The average growth rate for all occupations is only 8 percent.
Due to this increasing demand for EMTs within the County of San Diego and the State of California, the Institute of Healthcare, Inc. (IOH), located in Oceanside, CA, announced plans to expand its highly rated EMT Training program. Beginning on June 6, 2022, IOH will launch a Hybrid EMT program for students interested in meeting the basic prerequisites.
The EMT Hybrid Program consists of approximately 75 Percent live Virtual Learning and 25 percent in-person Skills Competency Learning followed by the Practical National Registry Testing on-site. Students will complete the written test at a Pearson Vue Center post successfully completing this unique course.

Course Dates: June 6 - August 4, 2022
Days of the Week: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 5:30 PM to 10:00 PM
This special Hybrid class will consist of both didact and the 24-hour (s) and 10 clinical contact requirements needed to successfully complete an EMT program in the State of California.
Students that complete the course will have the opportunity to connect with local Ambulance companies who are actively taking applications for employment for class participants that are interested in working on an ambulance and getting patient contacts for future career endeavors.
Students will have the opportunity to interview immediately upon completion of the course requirements and become an EMT through the National Registry of EMTs and Accredited within the County of San Diego. The IOH program includes instructions on how to apply and pursue career opportunities as soon as possible after successfully completing the course. In some cases, students can negotiate with Ambulance Services for tuition reimbursement for the completed EMT Course.

The IOH EMT Training Program is for anyone seeking a rewarding career or gaining experience as an EMT to become a Paramedic, RN, PA, DO, MD, or any other healthcare professional. IOH programs are also available for anyone that needs a current Basic Life Support (BLS) card by taking the HeartCode BLS course through the American Heart Association and completing the hands-on skills at the IOH campus to complete the pre-requisites.
