Innotec's Innovative Recycled Counterweights Demonstrate Significant Environmental Benefits in New Life Cycle Assessment
ZEELAND, Mich. - eTradeWire -- Innotec, a Michigan-based manufacturer committed to innovative and sustainable product design, today announced the results of a comprehensive Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) study of its recycled-material counterweights. The study, conducted in partnership with Foresight Management, reveals that Innotec's counterweights generate substantially lower emissions compared to traditional manufacturing methods.
The LCA study, completed in late 2024, evaluated the environmental impact of Innotec's proprietary counterweight manufacturing process, which ingeniously repurposes metal and plastic waste streams. Key findings show that Innotec's innovative approach:
"This Life Cycle Assessment validates our commitment to developing technologies that respect the environment while maintaining the highest standards of safety and durability," said Mario Veldhuijzen, Division Leader at Innotec. "By transforming waste materials into high-performance counterweights, we're not only reducing emissions but also contributing to a more circular economy."

The study examined three key stages of production: raw material processing and acquisition, transportation from suppliers to facilities, and manufacturing at Innotec's facility. The assessment was based on comprehensive data collected throughout 2023, analyzing all material and facility flows, including energy usage, water consumption, and waste management.
Located in Zeeland, Michigan, Innotec continues to demonstrate leadership in sustainable manufacturing through innovative product design and environmentally conscious production methods. The company's commitment to sustainability aligns with growing market demands for environmentally responsible products in the furniture and manufacturing sectors.
