Individual Entrepreneur of Scarsdale, NY, Acquires Recycle Away of Bellows Falls, VT
eTradeWire News/10839085
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. - eTradeWire -- Calder Capital, a nationwide mergers and acquisitions advisory firm, is pleased to announce the successful acquisition of Recycle Away, LLC of Bellows Falls, Vermont, by Chris Pollak of Scarsdale, New York.
Chris Pollak is an entrepreneur with nearly 30 years of leadership experience across global corporations, consulting, and independently built ventures. Pollak engaged Calder Capital's Buy-Side team to help identify an established B2B or homes services, distribution or manufacturing company with a strong team and healthy financials.
Chris Pollak's engagement led to Calder Capital's Buy-Side team sourcing and facilitating the acquisition of Recycle Away.
Founded in 2009, Recycle Away, is a distributor of high‑quality recycling and waste containers serving corporate, educational, and public‑sector customers nationwide. The business was founded by partners Michael Alexander and Steve Kozak. With its East Coast footprint aligning with Chris' long‑term plans, a strong and experienced management team in place, and more than a decade of operational history, Recycle Away was a natural fit for his next chapter. Ready for retirement, Chris' interest and Calder's outreach came at the perfect time.

Alexander and Kozak commented, "Knowing that the company we built and our dedicated team is now in great hands with Chris, we plan to enjoy our retirement while still being involved at a strategic level in the company's continued growth."
Brad Wallace of Calder Capital served as the Lead Mergers & Acquisitions Advisor to Chris Pollak. Serving as Lead Director was Hannah Nabhan of Calder Capital, and the Lead Associate was Dominik Bepristis.
Calder's Buy-Side team generated 34 off-market seller introductions, leading to 22 client pursuits, and three offers on unique businesses, resulting in the successful acquisition of Recycle Away. Calder Capital was engaged in August, the Letter of Intent was executed in January, and Calder successfully closed the transaction in April. The process moved from LOI to close in approximately three months.
Pollak commented, "I engaged Calder for Buy-Side advisory, and they delivered. Calder excels at targeted off-market outreach and incisive white-glove deal support. Brad and Dominik helped me identify and close on a great business within 9 months of getting started. I give them my highest recommendation without reservation and plan to work with them on the next one."

Alexander and Kozak noted, "Brad and his team at Calder were there every step of the way, but never intrusive. They allowed us to build trust and rapport directly with Chris, which was critical to closing the deal and enabling Recycle Away's new owner to hit the ground running."
