eTradeWire News/10793339
FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- The Fort Myers Community Concert Association will host the Imani Winds and the Boston Brass February 12 for the third concert of the 2025 season.
It is the 75th concert season, which organizers say brings the best in symphony orchestras, brass and wind ensembles to Southwest Florida
"Having both the Imani Winds and the Boston Brass on the same stage is going to be a unique experience for our audience. Attendees will hear the best of chamber music as well as jazz in one night," said Community Concert Association President Mary Lee Mann.
The Imani Winds is celebrating more than a quarter century of music-making. The twice Grammy nominated ensemble embraces chamber music and newly commissioned works from voices that reflect historical events and the times in which we currently live. They regularly perform in prominent venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and the Kennedy Center.
The legendary Boston Brass performs more than 100 times each year and has performed in all 50 states and 30 countries. They also have conducted master classes around the world, including sessions at the Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School, Peabody Conservatory of Music, Royal Academy of Music in London, and many more. The quintet has been featured on The CBS Early Show, National Public Radio and has recorded several albums.
