Boston, MA – The Board of Directors of The International Lodging Safety & Security Association – Boston Chapter (ILSSA Boston) is proud to announce the establishment of the Mario Colangelo Memorial Scholarship, honoring the life and legacy of the late Mario Colangelo, CPP, CFE, who passed away suddenly, one year ago, on October 18, 2024.

Mario was a respected leader, mentor, and friend within the hospitality and security community. With decades of experience and a steadfast commitment to protecting both people and property, Mario's contributions left a lasting impact on hotel safety and security standards throughout Boston and beyond. His dedication to professional excellence, mentorship, and service to others exemplified the very values that ILSSA Boston continues to uphold.

The Mario Colangelo Memorial Scholarship will provide financial support to hospitality security professionals and students pursuing college or higher education, training, or certification in the fields of Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement and Security Management or related fields.
