iCustoms launches iWarehouse, an AI bonded warehouse platform for customs and excise storage
eTradeWire News/10843775
WASHINGTON - eTradeWire -- One system that connects customs warehousing, excise warehousing and
warehouse management removing duplicate data entry between HMRC filings
and stock records.
LONDON, 4th August 2026 — iCustoms, the AI trade compliance platform,
today launched iWarehouse, a bonded warehouse platform that brings customs
warehousing, excise warehousing and warehouse management together in a
single system.
LONDON, 4th August 2026 — iCustoms, the AI trade compliance platform,
today launched iWarehouse, a bonded warehouse platform that brings customs
warehousing, excise warehousing and warehouse management together in a
single system.
Businesses storing goods under duty suspension typically run separate systems for customs declarations, excise returns and stock control, and rekey the same consignment into each one. iWarehouse removes that split: the customs declaration, the warehouse stock record and the HMRC return are all generated from the same underlying data.

The platform covers three connected areas:
Customs warehousing — connected to iCustoms' iCDS module, so entry and
discharge declarations are filed to HMRC's Customs Declaration Service.
Customs duty and import VAT stay suspended until goods are released to free
circulation, re-exported or moved to another procedure.
Excise warehousing — connected directly to HMRC for W1 excise warehouse
returns and W5 duty warrants, and integrated with EMCS for duty-suspended
movements of alcohol, tobacco and oils.
Warehouse management — real-time stock and movement records held at
owner and lot level, with audit trails and stock alerts built in.
"Bonded warehousing is one of the last corners of customs where the work is
still largely manual," said Adnan Zaheer, CEO of iCustoms.
"A warehousekeeper might run customs on one system, excise on a second and
stock on a third, then type the same consignment into all three. Every rekey is a chance to get a duty figure wrong, and the consequence of getting it wrong sits with them. iWarehouse takes the rekeying out, the declaration, the stock record and the HMRC return all come from one set of data.

Documents can enter iWarehouse by API, spreadsheet, intelligent document
processing or manual entry. The platform reads and validates them, then files to the relevant HMRC system automatically.
iWarehouse is available now to UK warehousekeepers, freight forwarders and
importers. Demonstrations can be booked at icustoms.ai.
