How to beat the 'silent killer' of business
eTradeWire News/10728837
High turnover is a silent killer of businesses, but remote work can be a simple, easy solution to help stem the tide while also attracting better candidates for positions that are open.
AUSTIN, Texas - eTradeWire -- High turnover is a silent killer of businesses, but remote work can be a simple, easy solution to help stem the tide while also attracting better candidates for positions that are open.
Let's face it: remote work isn't going anywhere. Most American workers want, and expect, at least some form of remote work in the future. In fact, the US Bureau of Labour Statistics found that most workers would rather work from home than get a raise. So, if your in-office star employee gets an offer from a rival company that is willing to let them work remotely, you can guess which option your best player will choose.
"When it comes to job competition, employees have probably never had an easier time deciding which offer to choose," says Joseph Boll, Remote Worker CEO. "While some companies are playing hardball with their staff over remote work, more innovative leaders are winning the top talent by simply giving workers the flexibility that they want."

Remote Worker is an online jobs board and resource website for remote workers, remote work jobseekers, and hiring managers, employers and HR personnel seeking to recruit and hire the top talent for remote positions.
According to the organization's CEO, pressure to abandon remote work might seem high when some big name companies have attempted — albeit with a lot of opposition from staff — to implement return-to-office mandates, but sticking to the old way of working is not worth running the business into the ground.
"Job growth, retention rates and remote work have been proven to be connected," said Boll. "When one factor is low for a certain company, chances are all of these factors are. Less remote work equates with less retention and lower growth. Just as easy as it is for an employee to decide whether to choose the company that gives them some flexibility or the one that doesn't, it should be equally easy for businesses to choose whether they value RTO more than keeping their company running."
