"Hooray for May" free family arts day returns to The Center for Contemporary Art on May 5
eTradeWire News/10766579
BEDMINSTER, N.J. - eTradeWire -- "Hooray for May" returns Sunday, May 5 from 1-4 pm at The Center for Contemporary Art ("The Center"). "Hooray for May" brings families from the community together for a fun and interactive day of making art and enjoying music and dance performances.
Hands-on art activities for kids and parents alike will take place in The Center's three art studios, outside in Pluckemin Park and its outdoor pavilion. The event will include a variety of creative projects including a Mother's Day card making station; designing your own paper airplanes; assembling your own kazoo led by our partners from New Jersey Youth Chorus; learning the art of graffiti; making art prints from the sun; working with watercolors at the watercolor resist station led by the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission; and more.
Members of the community are invited to use their artistic talents to help complete a community art project, the creation of a large ceramic coil pot, and are welcome to visit the three art exhibitions in The Center's galleries.
