HF scientific goes 'Pink for a Day' to raise funds, awareness for breast cancer research

FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- HF scientific, a Watts brand and global producer of instrumentation, test kits and chemical reagents used for monitoring water quality in a variety of applications, is leading the company's local efforts to raise support for breast cancer research.
In recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, Watts has committed to donating $5 to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation for each employee who wears pink. At HF scientific in Fort Myers, employees wore pink and enjoyed pink cupcakes to commemorate 'Pink for a Day.'
"1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with breast cancer in their lifetime," said Curtis B. Burks, operations leader for HF scientific in Fort Myers. "Our Fort Myers team is proud to wear pink to bring awareness to the importance of breast cancer and screening exams, as well as to support our fundraising goals."
These funds will go toward groundbreaking cancer research, advocacy and support for the millions of people impacted by breast cancer.
