LAKEWOOD RANCH, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Halfacre Construction Company, a Lakewood Ranch-based commercial construction company, recently began construction on Bayside Community Church's permanent North River Campus in Parrish, Fla.

The new 48,737-square-foot structure will hold an 800-seat auditorium, community areas, an exterior baptismal and designated children's spaces – complete with audio-visual features, auditorium and classrooms.

Connected by a common roof and a covered drive-thru between the two buildings, an adjacent structure, called the youth building, will house another auditorium, a meeting space and small group area for the teenagers.

The architect on the project is Hall Darling Design Studio (http://halldarling.com/). The tilt-wall building structure and roof will be constructed using pre-engineered metal.

In addition to construction, Halfacre Construction Company will pave a new parking lot, create a turn lane off of Moccasin Wallow Road, construct an entrance off the future Sawgrass Road, perform all sitework, reshape the present pond and lay a new boardwalk that winds through the wetland toward front of the property along Moccasin Wallow Road.

Bayside Community Church began in 2002 at Bashaw Elementary School. Today, the multi-location church serves Manatee, Sarasota, Hardee and Hillsborough counties. Its North River Campus opened in 2016 and is home to about 1,000 worshipers at its temporary location.

Bayside purchased 20 acres, situated at 9505 Moccasin Wallow Road, in anticipation of the campus' growth.
