Habitat for Humanity honors 2026 Women Build supporters with Thank You Party

Annual campaign empowers female-led households with affordable homeownership
FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Habitat for Humanity of Lee and Hendry Counties hosted its annual Thank You Party to honor Women Build supporters and to celebrate two local mothers who are achieving stability and security for their families through affordable homeownership.
Held on April 13 at the B Hive Event Center in Fort Myers, the Thank You Party brought together sponsors, volunteers and community leaders whose generous support helps empower local women through fundraising and volunteer efforts. Since 2011, Women Build has partnered with 33 female-headed families in Lee and Hendry counties, including 2026 Women Build homebuyers Trinity and Dominique. This year's campaign surpassed its fundraising goal of $500,000, supporting the construction of two affordable homes for Trinity and Dominique and providing HUD-approved housing counseling for 10 additional female-led households.
"Your generosity, your belief and your willingness to invest in someone else's future have changed my life in a way words can't fully describe," Trinity said in thanking Habitat and its supporters. "You didn't just help build a house – you helped build stability, hope and a new beginning."
