Greg Carras joins Ukraine War Animals Relief Fund Board of Directors
eTradeWire News/10773912
SEATTLE - eTradeWire -- The Ukraine War Animals Relief Fund (UWARF) is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg Carras to its Board of Directors. Carras, a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in program management, strategic partnerships, and leadership, will play a crucial role in advancing UWARF's mission to address the urgent needs of abandoned animals in war-torn Ukraine.
Ukraine faces a dire humanitarian crisis with an estimated million stranded dogs and cats struggling to survive amidst the chaos of conflict. These animals can carry the threat of rabies, posing significant risks to both local residents and those bravely defending Ukraine's freedom. The population of these animals grows every day, so it is critical to address this crisis as soon as possible.
Carras' appointment comes at a pivotal moment for UWARF as the organization intensifies its efforts to vaccinate, spay, and neuter the abandoned animals, thereby reducing the risk of rabies transmission and alleviating the suffering of both animals and communities.

"Joining the Board of Directors at UWARF is an incredible opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of animals and the people at risk in Ukraine," said Carras. "I am deeply committed to leveraging my expertise to support UWARF's vital work. Every day, there are more and more animals being born… every day, Rabies is spreading among the animal population. We need to organize all the people and organizations quickly in this effort and leverage their strengths to help the animals. We need to accelerate our activities to get ahead of this population growth and spread of Rabies while there is still time…"
Carras' extensive background in program management and partnership development, positions him as a valuable asset in UWARF's initiatives to raise awareness and mobilize resources for its humanitarian efforts. He is currently a Senior Program Manager in a large, world-wide, Fortune 500 company. He served as an officer in the United States Air Force. Greg also received his Bachelor's degree in psychology from The Citadel and has two Masters degrees from the University of North Dakota, a Masters in Business Administration (MBA), and a Master of Science in Aerospace. He is also involved in several other volunteer efforts focused on the welfare of animals.
