Goodwill SWFL and Easterseals Florida Team Up to Launch Inclusive Sports League

FORT MYERS, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Goodwill Industries of Southwest Florida (Goodwill SWFL) and Easterseals Naples are proud to announce an exciting new collaboration to promote health, inclusion and community through adaptive sports. The two organization's life skills development programs will join forces to create an inclusive sports league designed to enhance participant's access to physical fitness, teamwork and social connection.
This new partnership brings together participants from Easterseal's LEAP program and Goodwill SWFL's Pathways to Opportunity program to compete, train and celebrate physical activity in a fun and supportive environment. Through this initiative, both organizations aim to highlight the importance of wellness, inclusion, and collaboration within the disability community.
"Our programs share a common goal of helping individuals with disabilities build confidence, independence and meaningful relationship," said Jessica Tursi, Director of Disability Services & Navigation at Goodwill SWFL. "This partnership with Easterseals allows us to expand opportunities for our participants while showcasing the incredible abilities and teamwork that define our community."

The league will feature a rotating schedule of friendly competitions and activities throughout the year, hosted at both organizations.
"This collaboration with Goodwill is a perfect fit for our Easterseals Dream Team Sports Program and our Community in Action program here in Naples," said Catrina Sanchez, Center Director at the Easterseals Naples location. "For our individuals, this experience is about so much more than a meet-up—it's about belonging, confidence, and meaningful connections. They returned from the first gathering energized, proud, and eager to continue building friendships for a lifetime"
This collaboration underscores both organization's shared commitment to inclusion, independence and the well-being for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities across Southwest Florida.
