GULFPORT, Miss. - eTradeWire -- GEO Jobe is proud to announce the sponsorship of Gulfport Middle School's Pink Diamonds Robotics team for the second year in a row. GEO Jobe's sponsorship gives their Team the opportunity to grow in the fields of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Pink Diamonds is the first Gulfport Middle School's all-female robotics team. GEO Jobe's donation is in support of their bid to go to the REC Foundation's VEX Robotics World Championship (https://www.roboticseducation.org/vex-robotics-...). Last year the Pink Diamonds qualified for the World Championship and participated in the VEX Robotics competition Tipping Point. This year the team will participate in Spin Up (https://www.roboticseducation.org/teams/vex-rob...) presented by the Robotics Education & Competition (REC) Foundation. To prepare for the tournament, the group will work together to design, build, and program a robot using VEX V5, that could quickly and efficiently solve specific challenges that come with playing the 2022-2023 VEX Robotics Competition game. Each week, the students apply what they've learned about STEM in the classroom, to build these semi-autonomous machines.
