Fundraising Campaign Supports Bonnie Pierce's Children and Family Following House Fire

ST. PAUL, Minn. A fundraising campaign has been established to support the family of Bonnie Pierce, who died following a house fire on that also seriously injured her daughter, Grace.
SAINT PAUL, Minn. - eTradeWire -- According to the family's campaign, Bonnie was 38 years old and a mother of four daughters: Alaynah, Aurora, Jemma and Grace. She was also a grandmother to her grandson, Atlas.
The fire occurred while Bonnie and two of her daughters, Aurora and Grace, were inside their home. Aurora was able to escape the property, while Bonnie initially exited the home before returning after realizing that Grace remained inside.
Firefighters later found Bonnie and Grace inside the residence. Bonnie was found unresponsive and received emergency medical treatment, while Grace survived and was hospitalized for injuries sustained in the fire.
The campaign information states that Bonnie sustained burns covering approximately 48 percent of her body and had been without oxygen for approximately 15 minutes. Despite efforts by first responders and medical professionals, she died from her injuries.

Grace remains hospitalized as she continues her recovery. The family reports that she is expected to make a full recovery.
Following Bonnie's death and Grace's hospitalization, the family is facing medical, recovery and household expenses.
