CHICAGO - eTradeWire -- The Greater Englewood Chamber of Commerce (GECC), in partnership with workforce and renewable energy leaders, is proud to announce the launch of the Englewood Solar Shared Renewables – Solar Installation Training, a FREE, hands-on workforce development program designed to prepare community members for high-demand, well-paying careers in the clean energy sector.

Set to begin April 1, 2026, this in-person training program will take place in Englewood and is open to individuals 21 years of age and older who are ready to build practical skills and enter a growing industry shaping the future of work.

The program offers participants a comprehensive pathway into solar installation and renewable energy careers by combining classroom instruction with real-world, on-the-job training led by industry experts.

Program highlights include:

• Industry-recognized certifications, including NCCER and NABCEP
• Hands-on, real-world training in solar installation
• Instruction from experienced renewable energy professionals
• Career preparation for roles that lead to thriving, sustainable wages
