Movie Preview Honors President's Birthday in Cultural Night Presentation

DALLAS - eTradeWire -- The Yoruba people are known for their unique and irrepressible culture. In the past 200 years survived slavery and colonial domination giving the world such unique cultural artifacts as the talking drum, "egungun" masks, modern fashion like "adire" and so-oke" and distinctive food offerings such as "moinmoin". To celebrate selected aspects of this  unique culture, the Yoruba Cultural Center, Dallas, hosts a Cultural Evening presentation on Sunday, October 31, 2021, starting at 3pm. Showcasing various aspects of the cultural achievements of the Yoruba people, a select audience previews an original new movie, honoring a birthday celebration for the President, Dr. Oladele Olusanya - physician, writer and artist.

The event takes place in the Center's Yoruba Art & Heritage Museum on 7111 Marvin D Love Freeway, Suite 209, Dallas, Texas 75237. The ground-breaking museum houses an archive of historical artifacts and art that takes the visitor on a unique journey into the mythology and history of the Yoruba people from the ancient progenitor, Oduduwa, to modern heroes of the Yoruba people such as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti and Wole Soyinka.https://youtu.be/FHo3iqU77nQ

The movie to be previewed on this occasion is titled 'ROOMMATES' - a modern family drama by award winning accomplished film-maker, Ola Ogunkoya, which describes a tense story in which the coming of a viral epidemic poses daunting challenges to a happily married couple.  When friends pollute the love equation, romance and abiding love transform to betrayal, despair, depression, and separation. "Roommates" is a romantic thriller that should keep viewers on the edge of their seats.
