Fall in Love with Reading - A Movement to Slow Down, Reflect, and Reconnect Through Words
eTradeWire News/10821342
Reading isn't a chore it's a rebellion against noise, distraction, and disconnection.
OKLAHOMA CITY - eTradeWire -- Author and entrepreneur Shirley Stephens launches a campaign to remind readers that reading isn't a chore it's a rebellion against noise, distraction, and disconnection.
[Oklahoma City, Ok] — [11/05/2025] — The "Fall in Love with Reading" campaign encourages readers to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with words. We've become a society that scroll daily for hours on social media platforms, it becomes easy to get lost in the daily chaos. The act of reading is healing, and more reading promotes healing. More reading for joy. More reading for reflection. More reading for learning. "I want people to forever fall in love with reading again," says Shirley Stephens. "Not just reading to gather more words, but reading for whole healing: a call to slow down, learn, and rediscover joy in the written word.
"I want people to slow down long enough to fall in love with reading again," says Stephens.

"Every book I've written began with reading reading stories that made me think, reflect, and grow. Reading changed my life, and I want others to experience that same transformation."
The campaign was born from a simple but urgent observation: many adults have stopped reading for pleasure, families have fewer shared reading moments, and children are growing up in homes where screens have replaced story time.
For Stephens, reading was never optional. Growing up, reading came before screen time, and when she became a mother, that same tradition continued books before television, stories before noise.
"Reading is not just about comprehension," Stephens explains. "It's about connection to ourselves, to our families, and to the world."
"Reading is the quiet rebellion that restores our imagination," Stephens says. "It makes us better thinkers, better parents, and better people."
