Emily Costa's Miss Glamourous International Title Revoked
eTradeWire News/10806417
SACRAMENTO, Calif. - eTradeWire -- What began as a celebration of poise, elegance, and empowerment has taken a sharp turn after Emily Costa, formerly Miss USA and recently crowned Miss Glamorous International, had her title revoked by the Miss Glamourous International pageant director.
The accusations range from credential disputes to claims regarding a contestant's weight—a charge Costa strongly denies and describes as "a heartbreaking misrepresentation."
"I've always stood for transparency, fairness, and body positivity," Costa said in an exclusive statement. "To be accused of something so antithetical to my values is deeply painful. I've helped countless young women see their worth beyond the mirror. That work will continue—with or without a crown."
Costa, a businesswoman and advocate known for her work in women's empowerment and inclusive leadership, had quickly become a favorite among fans and fellow contestants. Her win was seen by many as a turning point for the pageant world—until it wasn't.

In a particularly contentious point, MGI's letter alleges that Costa personally funded votes for the People's Choice Award. Costa, when asked, didn't shy away from the claim. "I promoted myself the same way many candidates do—through digital ads and outreach. My friends and family invest in my goals. There was no rule against it, and there was no attempt to deceive."
Some industry insiders view the pageant's response as disproportionately harsh. With other contestants standing behind Emily and stating that they were all required to sign NDAs prior to competing. One former contestant, who asked to remain anonymous, said, "Emily raised the bar and has amazing character. That made some people uncomfortable."
Others question the organization's transparency. "If they truly believe in empowerment," another source stated, "why silence someone through legal threats? The public deserves to hear both sides."
But the title loss may be the least of her concerns. Since the announcement, Costa has received an outpouring of public support. A growing number of followers are calling on her to start her own platform—one rooted in authenticity and inclusion.
As the dust settles, one thing is clear: the crown may be gone, but Emily Costa is just getting started.
