Elite Mrs. Florida USA Earth, Bernadyn Nettles, to Lead Beach Cleanup at Jackson Beach Pier
eTradeWire News/10781001
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - eTradeWire -- Elite Mrs. Florida USA Earth, Bernadyn Nettles, a passionate advocate for environmental and humanitarian causes, is set to lead a significant beach cleanup at Jackson Beach Pier on September 21, 2024. Supported by the United Way of Northeast Florida, Bernadyn is undeterred by the challenges often associated with organizing such events and is fully committed to making a difference in her community.
Plastic debris, fishing nets, and other waste that litter our beaches pose significant threats to wildlife, which often mistake these items for food. Additionally, the degradation of these materials can lead to harmful microplastics infiltrating the ocean, affecting the entire marine ecosystem and, eventually, human health. These cleanups also serve to raise awareness of the importance of reducing waste and promoting sustainable practices in our daily lives.

By participating in these efforts, volunteers not only contribute to the immediate removal of trash but also help foster a broader movement towards environmental stewardship. The Challenges of Organizing Beach Cleanups- Organizing beach cleanups presents unique challenges, often making them some of the most difficult community service events to host. Factors such as unpredictable weather, tides, and the sheer scale of coastal areas can complicate planning and execution. Additionally, coordinating volunteers, securing necessary permits, and ensuring the safety of participants require meticulous attention to detail and a strong commitment from organizers. Despite these challenges, Bernadyn Nettles and the United Way of Northeast Florida are dedicated to overcoming any barriers to ensure the success of this cleanup event. Their shared vision is to inspire others to take action in protecting our planet, starting with the beaches we all cherish.

Elite Mrs. Florida USA Earth, Bernadyn Nettles, along with her Eco Angels team, invites the community to join them in this vital effort to keep Jackson Beach Pier clean and beautiful. Bernadyn has always been passionate about the Earth and is why she created Eco Angels. " There are many avenues by which pollution enters the sea and it is difficult for one individual to stop all pollution," says Bernadyn. " My goal for creating Florida Eco Angels is to reduce the ripple effect by encouraging everyone to take small steps in the right direction, starting with cleaning a local beach. When we take responsibility of what is under our own wings, we can make a difference. When we work together as a team of angels, we can achieve even more.
The cleanup will take place on Saturday, September 21, 2024, from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. Volunteers of all ages are welcome, and all necessary materials will be provided. **For Questions or to Get Involved:** Email: Elitemrsflearth@gmail.com Facebook: Elite Mrs. Florida USA Earth Instagram: @official_bernadyn
