EdFed Announced as Title Sponsor of the M-DCPS Superintendent's 5K
MIAMI - eTradeWire -- Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) has been named as the title sponsor for the annual 5K race staged to support Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). For over a decade, the event known as the Superintendent's 5K has historically drawn over 7,000 participants to downtown Miami. EdFed has entered a multi-year sponsorship agreement with the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Foundation (M-DCPS Foundation), the organizer of the event.
"We are very excited to serve as the title sponsor of this important community event," said Mike DiBenedetto, EdFed's President and CEO. "EdFed continually seeks out opportunities to support and invest in the educational community. We look forward to helping expand awareness of the important work the M-DCPS Foundation does to raise funds for our schools."

The event, now known as the EdFed Race for Education at the Superintendent's 5K, will be held on March 7, 2026, at Maurice A. Ferre Park, 1075 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. Participants of all ages and fitness levels are invited to take part in the 5K, which features live entertainment and opportunities to connect with local organizations.

"EdFed's title sponsorship of the Superintendent's 5K Race is a great example of how community partnerships and support can uplift public education in Miami-Dade County," said Erin Sicker, the CEO of the M-DCPS Foundation.
