Earth Day Celebration Brings Wildlife, Family Activities, and Conservation Efforts Together in One Community Event
WOODBINE, N.J. - eTradeWire -- A unique, family-friendly Earth Day celebration is set to take place at Ludlam Island Brewery on Saturday, April 25 from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM, bringing together local organizations, environmental advocates, and hands-on activities designed to inspire the next generation of conservationists.
This collaborative event will feature a variety of engaging experiences for all ages, including a children's planting class, interactive wildlife education, and opportunities for the community to take direct action in protecting the environment.
Representatives from the New Jersey Audubon Society will be on-site with a live animal ambassador, offering attendees a rare opportunity to learn about native wildlife and the importance of preserving natural habitats.
The event will also showcase locally crafted, eco-friendly products from a regional woodworker, including squirrel houses, birdhouses, and owl nesting boxes—providing practical ways for residents to support backyard wildlife.

Community-driven environmental initiatives will be front and center, with members of the Upper Township Green Team sharing resources and information on sustainability efforts across the region.
In addition, Ocean Social will host a crayon recycling drive, collecting used crayons to be repurposed rather than sent to landfills—a simple but impactful way for families to participate in reducing waste. Attendees will also have the opportunity to sign up for a community beach clean-up scheduled for later this summer, reinforcing the event's mission of turning awareness into action.
"This event is about more than just celebrating Earth Day—it's about giving families real, tangible ways to make a difference," said Renee Durante-Hakanson, owner of Ocean Social. "By bringing together education, local craftsmanship, and community initiatives, we're creating an experience that's both fun and meaningful."
The event is free and open to the public, welcoming families, environmental enthusiasts, and anyone looking to get involved in local conservation efforts.
