DMV Jazz Series Brings the Warren Wolf-Allyn Johnson Experience to New Spire Arts

FREDERICK, Md. - eTradeWire -- Jazz enthusiasts are in for a remarkable evening as the DMV Jazz Series presents The Warren Wolf/Allyn Johnson Experience, hosted by Eric Byrd. This performance will take place at New Spire Arts on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 7:30 PM.
Tickets are $20 and may be purchased online at WeinbergCenter.org, by calling the box office at 301-600-2828, or in person at 20 West Patrick Street. Discounts are available for students, children, military, and seniors.
Warren Wolf, a Baltimore native and internationally acclaimed jazz musician, is a master of the vibraphone, drums, and piano. Trained at Peabody Preparatory, Baltimore School for the Arts, and Berklee College of Music, Wolf has toured globally and performed with jazz legends like Wynton Marsalis and Esperanza Spalding. He also teaches at Peabody Conservatory and San Francisco Conservatory. Allyn Johnson is a celebrated pianist and composer from Washington, D.C., who blends Gospel, Jazz, and Classical influences in his music. A magna cum laude graduate of the University of the District of Columbia, Johnson directs its Jazz Studies program and is known for his dynamic ensembles, including Divine Order and Sonic Sanctuary. The evening will be hosted by Eric Byrd, local celebrated pianist and vocalist whose deep understanding of jazz tradition has made him a fixture in the DMV's vibrant music scene.
