Dear Black Woman Media Becomes a Georgia Nonprofit to Scale Adult Education and Global Coverage
eTradeWire News/10816300
DBW is now a Georgia nonprofit advancing adult education, global news, and member programs—chapters, $10K grants, and an investment collective—open to board leaders, teachers, hosts, and donors.
STONE MOUNTAIN, Ga. - eTradeWire -- Dear Black Woman Media, Inc. (DBW) is now a nonprofit corporation in Georgia, expanding adult education and current-events reporting that center Black women. DBW delivers a monthly curriculum of workshops and classes—business, capital readiness, marketing, writing, wellness, media, leadership—plus Healing Circles, digital issues, podcasts, and a forthcoming Morning News Show. The organization's federal 501(c)(3) application is pending; contributions are not tax-deductible until the IRS issues its letter.
To align access with impact, DBW is moving from subscriptions to memberships. Subscriptions sell content; memberships support a mission—funding instruction, chapters, and impact programs while setting clear eligibility.

Members receive chapter access, free entry to the monthly curriculum and Healing Circles, and priority access to programs and events, plus a monthly newsletter, bi-weekly writing prompts, weekly Business Spotlight eligibility, retreat discounts, and anthology opportunities.
Two member-only tracks open next: (1) a $10,000 grant program for Black women-owned businesses ready to grow, and (2) an Investment Collective that explores ownership of restaurants, hotels, and land in select countries with local partners. Membership is required to apply or take part. Participation is competitive; conflicts are screened. The collective is a mission program, not a public investment, and offers no financial returns.
Education and media will scale with monthly classes led by volunteer teachers and facilitators and the Morning News Show adding daily context and interviews. Hosts and guest anchors are invited to apply. In 2026, DBW will publish global cover stories and Dear Black Woman Anthology: Volume 2.
