Custom weldments produce superior agriculture and mining components

DE PERE, Wis. - eTradeWire -- Robinson's welding expertise and large-scale capabilities maximize quality
Welding capabilities often fall into a category of assumed expertise when dealing with metal fabrication companies such as Robinson. Custom weldments are a different story, however, and Robinson's team of certified welders and skilled machinists play a major role in the production of agriculture and mining components that are ready to be incorporated into final products.
Custom weldments provide opportunities for cost savings compared to machining techniques that result in material waste. Rather than machining away large amounts of metal stock until the piece arrives at its final size and appearance, our team uses custom weldments to connect smaller parts and then machines them to exceedingly tight tolerances.
Original equipment manufacturers often require custom weldments of various sizes for gearboxes, engine parts and subassemblies used in equipment for industries such as agriculture, mining and shipbuilding. Our ability to deliver what oftentimes are larger projects with in-house processes and quality control minimizes cost and time, while ensuring these components are ready for use and easily fit up.

Bridge mill, blast and paint capabilities fine-tune custom weldments
Custom weldments by themselves are but one aspect of the full-service solutions Robinson provides. Our upgraded blasting, paint and powder coating metal capabilities ensure these products can weather the elements.
Our bridge mill is a CNC machining center that can handle large-scale custom weldments common in the agriculture and mining sectors. Combined with paint booths that can handle items as large as 20 feet by 20 feet, and up to 60 feet long, Robinson is in elite company when it comes to production capabilities.
We use a two-step process to protect metal from nature's challenges. Our application team applies a zinc-rich primer followed by an extremely durable wet or powder coat layer. In some cases, the combination results in an almost unheard-of 5,000 hours of protection from the elements, maximizing our customers' investment.
