AUSTIN, Texas - eTradeWire -- Curse Mackey Announced as Composer for Screambox Series "The Unknowable: Darkland"

Screambox has announced Curse Mackey as the composer for the upcoming original series The Unknowable: Darkland, premiering February 3, 2026, exclusively on the popular streaming platform.

Created by Zachary Donohue and directed, edited, and produced by Kyle Cooper, with producer Jon Ferro, The Unknowable: Darkland is a supernatural mystery set within the abandoned Darkland Amusement Park. The series draws inspiration from cult cinema, psychological horror, and analog-era genre storytelling, unfolding through atmosphere, mystery, and slow-burn tension.

Mackey composed the original score for the eight-episode season, contributing over 30 original pieces of music and several hours of material written specifically for the series. His work spans character themes, long-form atmospheric cues, and modular score elements used throughout the season. An original soundtrack release is forthcoming.
