CURE Childhood Cancer Hosts Second Annual Homecoming Fundraiser to Tackle Pediatric Cancer
eTradeWire News/10786600
SAVANNAH, Ga. - eTradeWire -- CURE Childhood Cancer, the only organization providing financial and emotional support to local children with cancer and their families while funding critical research for pediatric oncology, announces its second annual Homecoming. This adults-only fundraiser promises a night of touchdowns, tasty treats, and heartwarming stories, all for a crucial mission.
The fun kicks off Saturday, Nov. 9, from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Forest City Gun Club, 9203 Ferguson Ave. While enjoying an open bar, delicious tailgate-inspired food, and live music by the Bourbon Boys, guests can cheer on their favorite college teams on multiple screens. Catch all the late-season gridiron action as teams vie for conference titles and bowl berths.
"Every dollar raised brings us closer to bringing home a cure for childhood cancer," Mandy Garola, CURE Vice President of South Georgia. "We are incredibly grateful for the unwavering support of our community and look forward to seeing old and new friends alike at this year's event."

The emcee for the evening's festivities is news anchor Frank "Big Frank" Sulkowski of WJCL-TV. Bulloch County's Alex Grovenstein, aka "Auction Alex," who trained at the Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University, will hold an energetic live auction. Additionally, a special halftime program will feature a moving video presentation showcasing the journey of a brave child and family battling pediatric cancer.
"These stories are more than just statistics," said Jenny Wilkins, CURE Development Director, Events in South Georgia. "They are a powerful reminder of the real lives impacted by this disease and they showcase the incredible impact of our supporters. Last year, thanks to the generosity of our community, Homecoming raised an incredible $95,000 and we're aiming to break that record this year."
CURE programming also highlights the impact of Precision Medicine, a targeted approach that utilizes genetic testing to personalize treatment plans. CURE has proudly funded more than $14 million towards Precision Medicine research, offering a more effective approach to fighting childhood cancer.
There are multiple ways to be a part of the CURE Homecoming winning team. Businesses and individuals can support the event through sponsorships at various levels and benefits. For more information, tickets and the sponsorship guide, please visit https://e.givesmart.com/events/CG8/
