INDIANAPOLIS - eTradeWire -- CREATORS RIGHTS MOVEMENT SPOTLIGHTS ISAAC "LUCKY" SMITH
Director of Marketing and "The Promo King" Championing Ownership for Creators
The Creators Rights Movement proudly recognizes Isaac "Lucky" Smith, widely known as The Promo King and now serving as Director of Marketing, as a strong voice in the fight for independent creator ownership.
With more than three decades of experience as an entrepreneur, promoter, conference founder, radio operator, publisher, and platform builder, Smith continues to champion a message that has never been more urgent: visibility may open doors, but ownership secures legacy.
Born in Indianapolis, Smith's foundation was shaped by military service, where discipline, structure, and resilience became the cornerstones of his career. After serving, he co-founded Legit Promotions with his brother and cousin, building a respected marketing and event brand that worked with major names including Rap-A-Lot Records, No Limit Records, Swisha House, BET, Royal Blunts, and Ball Up Streetball.

Recognizing early that independent creators often lacked access, education, and sustainable platforms, Smith decided to build the infrastructure himself. Through his Jus Mi Luck brand, he created an ecosystem to support creators at every level, including DJs United Radio, DJs United Global, Twenty4Seven Magazine, and the Evolution Entertainment Conference. From launching the DJs United Conference in 2012 to expanding into a full entertainment platform by 2015, Smith has remained committed to helping creators be seen, supported, and positioned for longevity.
At the center of Smith's work is one non-negotiable principle: ownership is everything. Through firsthand experience, including legal challenges over the DJs United name, he learned the importance of protecting intellectual property.
"On top of that, you see artists all the time fighting to get what belongs to them, and it's at an all-time high now," Smith shares.

"The time is now, and tomorrow is too late. It's time we make a statement and start standing up for our rights. Everything else in this world has been changing, so why not the copyright laws?"
The Creators Rights Movement calls on creators, supporters, and industry leaders to take action now.
