Court rally press conference defend the California Tenant association leadership at Superior Court
eTradeWire News/10801167
This is A class war, and we plead not guilty. In the court of Justice the tenants stand United
LOS ANGELES - eTradeWire -- LOS ANGELES, CA — The California Tenants Union is calling for a powerful rally and press conference at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse (111 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, CA) on Monday, April 28, 2025, Department 91 in response to a retaliatory eviction attempt against the President of the California Tenants Association.
This case is bigger than just one tenant — it's about the right to organize, to speak truth to power, and to hold corporate landlords accountable. The rally will begin at 7:30 AM sharp and conclude by 8:30 AM, just before supporters and tenants file into the courthouse to await the verdict.
The President of the California Tenants Association is being targeted for exposing the harmful practices of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation's housing arm, now operating under the name Housing4Humanity. Management has already removed nearly 90% of tenants from the Baltimore Hotel, where the President resides, and evictions are still ongoing — despite the building being infested with rats, mice, cockroaches, and bed bugs.

This building is uninhabitable — and yet tenants are being asked to pay rent under inhumane conditions.
This moment is historic: during the trial, the President of the AIDS Healthcare Foundation is being called to testify under oath. The entire nation, including the eyes of the housing justice movement, will be watching. It's a must-see moment in tenant power and resistance.
If the judge or jury rules in favor of the eviction, it will signal to tenants everywhere that even the most vocal leaders can be silenced by billion-dollar foundations. We must stand united and show the world that we will not be bullied, displaced, or erased.
We need your help to put a stop to this
We ask everyone to pass this information along to other tenants — whether they are affiliated with the AIDS Healthcare Foundation or not. Every community member, every renter, every person impacted by corporate landlords should attend and support. Send a loud and clear message that we will not be bullied.

We ask all supporters to stay for the entire trial until the end so we can all hear the verdict together and stand in unity, no matter the outcome.
