eTradeWire News/10836286
TOMS RIVER, N.J. - eTradeWire -- In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month this May, CONTACT of Ocean & Monmouth Counties is joining the national conversation around mental wellness by embracing this year's theme, "More Good Days, Together." The campaign highlights the importance of connection, community, and access to support in helping individuals navigate life's challenges.
For more than 50 years, CONTACT has provided free, confidential crisis intervention, emotional support, and community resource referrals to residents of Ocean and Monmouth Counties 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Mental Health Awareness Month serves as an important reminder that mental wellness is not just about responding in times of crisis—it is about creating space for conversation, reducing stigma, and ensuring individuals know support is available before challenges become overwhelming.
"Our mission is grounded in the belief that reaching out for help is the first step toward healing," emphasized Kim Santora, Executive Director of CONTACT. "We want everyone to know that they don't have to navigate their challenges alone." Through compassionate, nonjudgmental listening, CONTACT's trained telephone listeners provide callers with a safe space to feel heard, understood, and supported.
