"In recent months, Community First has stepped up its efforts to expand our community giving and exceeded our 2019-20 donation goals." says, Theresa Scepanski, President and CEO Community First Health Plans, "This gift of $15,000 will help to educate new moms, increase prematurity research, expand the NICU family support program, and provide resources to new families."
Through the Community First and March of Dimes partnership hospitals receive tablets that will hopefully encourage communication and video conferencing between parents and their baby during long NICU stays. The grant also provided access to much needed education through the MyNicuBaby app, New Moms New Blog, and online education videos.
Community First invites the San Antonio community to join them in giving by attending any of the virtual events and raffles hosted on their Facebook platform. The campaign kicked off in March 2021 and ends in July 2021. Community First employees have the option to participate in a matching donation campaign with the goal of raising only $3,000
