Community Event Features Live Music, Food, Games, and Silent Auction on October 18
SHELBYVILLE, Ky. - eTradeWire -- First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) will host a community fall festival fundraiser on Saturday, October 18, 2025, from 10 AM to 4 PM to raise funds for Wheels of Hope, an initiative to purchase a handicap accessible van for the Overall Family. The free admission event will take place at the church located at 1000 Eminence Pike in Shelbyville.
The day-long festival will feature continuous live music performances from local artists including Shanghai Express, Paulie Felice, Nickell Alley Band, Livi Vanover, Beargrass Creek Praise Team, and Nathan Morrow. Attendees can enjoy complimentary hot dogs and nachos while participating in various activities designed for all ages.
Festival activities include vendor booths, a raffle, silent auction, fall-themed crafts with pumpkin painting, and classic lawn games such as corn hole, ladder ball, and giant Jenga. The event aims to bring the community together while supporting a meaningful local cause.

Extended Halloween Fun Families attending the festival can extend their day of fun with a special costume contest at the church from 3:00-3:45 PM, followed by Froggy's Trick or Treat Street at Clear Creek Park in Shelbyville from 5:00-6:30 PM. The trick-or-treat event offers children a safe and enjoyable evening with local businesses and community groups, making October 18 a full day of family-friendly Halloween festivities.
Wheels of Hope was established to provide transportation independence for the Overall Family through the purchase of a handicap accessible van. All proceeds from the festival's activities, including vendor fees, raffle tickets, and auction items, will go directly toward this goal. Additional donations will be accepted at the event and online.
While the goal of the festival is fundraising, the church emphasizes that admission to the festival is completely free, encouraging community members to attend and support their neighbors while enjoying a day of entertainment and fellowship.
