A Christmas Miracle in the Making: New England Nonprofit Racing to Build Orphanage by 12/25
eTradeWire News/10823800
WILMINGTON, Mass. - eTradeWire -- As families across America prepare for the holidays, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit is racing against time to give the ultimate Christmas gift to 150 orphaned children in Uganda: a safe place to live.
The Support a Soul Foundation, founded by Wilmington resident David Newhouse, has launched an international effort to build a new 150 room orphanage for children who are currently being evicted from their existing shelter. Without a new home, these children — many of whom are under the age of 10 — face homelessness just as the rainy season begins.
The project's progress so far includes:
But with the deadline approaching quickly, the Foundation is making an urgent appeal to the public.
"These children have no time and no place to go," said founder David Newhouse. "This Christmas, we have a chance to rewrite their story. We can give them safety, dignity, and hope — but we cannot do it alone."

The orphanage will become the new home for children supported by Wipe A Tear Child Foundation, a trusted Ugandan organization providing shelter, education, and emotional care.
A Holiday Story of Hope, Humanity, and Global Compassion
The Support a Soul Foundation hopes that this project becomes a shining example of what the holiday season represents:
Every donation — whether $10 or $10,000 — directly supports construction materials, labor, beds, water systems, sanitation, and safe facilities for the children.
"This is more than a building," Newhouse added. "It's a home, a school, a place of healing, and a future for these kids. If everyone who hears this story shares it or gives even a little, we can make a miracle happen."
How to Help
The Foundation invites individuals, businesses, churches, schools, civic groups, and philanthropists to take part in the effort.
