WAUKESHA, Wis. - eTradeWire -- Supporters of Chosen Inc. of Wisconsin ("Chosen"), a non-profit ministry dedicated to supporting foster and adoptive children and families, will enjoy the lush Boerner Botanical Gardens Sept. 7 at its Walk on the Wild Side for Foster Care.
The gathering supports the growing reach of Chosen, which is dedicated to "Fostering Forever Families" through material, spiritual and emotional support for families built upon adoption and foster parenting. Chosen provides clothing and children's items to families through two Family Closets in Waukesha and West Allis.
The seventh annual event, which begins at 10 a.m., features a walk through the stunning Boerner Botanical Gardens in Hales Corners, a scavenger hunt, lunch and games.
"We're thrilled to walk with our supporters to raise awareness of the tremendous need for foster families in our community," said Karen Schlindwein, Board President of Chosen. "We will honor the tireless love of our current foster families, as well, who give all for these vulnerable kids."
