The new Braintree location is Cape Cod Coffee's first mall location and introduces the brand to the broader South Shore and Greater Boston communities. While the company previously expanded beyond Cape Cod with its Wareham location, the Braintree café represents a new chapter as Cape Cod Coffee continues to grow throughout Massachusetts.
Founded in 1970, Cape Cod Coffee has spent more than five decades roasting coffee and building connections with customers throughout Cape Cod and beyond. The company remains committed to its roots while continuing to bring its locally crafted coffee experience to new communities.

Every bag of Cape Cod Coffee is roasted locally at the company's flagship roasting facility at 10 Evergreen Circle in Mashpee, Massachusetts, where the team continues its tradition of small-batch roasting. The company's coffee beans are also Fair Trade and Rainforest Alliance Certified, reflecting a commitment to responsible sourcing and quality from farm to cup.
"Cape Cod Coffee has always been about more than coffee—it's about community," said Jan Aggerbeck, owner of Cape Cod Coffee. "Opening our Braintree location allows us to share the experience built over the last 50-plus years with even more people while continuing to honor the traditions that got us here."
The new café offers Cape Cod Coffee's signature roasted coffees, espresso drinks, cold brew, seasonal beverages, fresh pastries, breakfast sandwiches, and other café favorites at South Shore Plaza.
To celebrate joining the South Shore Plaza community, Cape Cod Coffee is offering South Shore Plaza employees 10% off their purchases during the hour before the mall opens, giving team members the opportunity to enjoy their morning coffee before starting their shifts.
