Bunny with a Toolbelt opens Window of Wonders!

eTradeWire News/10481758
PORTLAND, Ore. - June 25, 2018 - eTradeWire -- Portland-based business Bunny with a Toolbelt now has a brick and mortar Window of Wonders—a gallery you view for free entirely from the sidewalk, located at 1722 NE Alberta Street, Portland, OR 97211. Illuminated from dawn to midnight, hundreds of tiny critters made from reclaimed wood fill the classic storefront, artfully displayed in a window-oriented landscape.

Bunny with a Toolbelt is the alter ego of Portland artist Hilary Pfeifer, whose work has been featured in American Craft Magazine and is part of many important collections, including the Museum of Contemporary Craft, the Center for Art in Wood, and the White House. She has also created many permanent public art pieces around the Portland area at such locations as the Randall Children's Hospital, Orange Max Line, and one opening this summer at the Garlington Health and Wellness Center.

Pfeifer has been quietly building her Bunny with a Toolbelt empire for the past few decades. An early adopter of Etsy, she has established a loyal online following of thousands of collectors. Retail sales from the Window of Wonders are handled through her Etsy shop rather than in the space itself. Also on display are the original characters from Pfeifer's five children's books and the books themselves, a deck of playing cards, and a line of fabrics.

Pfeifer is excited to have a solid art presence in the Alberta Arts District. As a 5thgeneration Oregonian whose great-grandfather built many of the churches and homes in that area, she has lived in the Sabin neighborhood since 2002. This October, she will participate in the 20thannual Portland Open Studiostour, so fans of the Window of Wonders can stroll a few blocks over to see where the work is made.
