Second certification earned in the Registered Building Envelope Consultant trifecta
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - eTradeWire -- Bob Sanderson, RRC, REWC, associate and expert in roofing and building envelope for Design Collaborative, earned his Registered Exterior Wall Consultant (REWC (https://iibec.org/professional-registrations/rewc/)) certification on October 29, 2020. This is the second in a series of three certifications required on the path to become a Registered Building Envelope Consultant (RBEC (https://iibec.org/professional-registrations/rbec/)) through the International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC (https://iibec.org)).
To qualify for this certification, professionals need to meet the IIBEC point system requirements for academic accomplishments, field experience, and continued education credits. Candidates are also required to have five professional references and pass the IIBEC General Knowledge Examination.

Sanderson already earned the Registered Roof Consultant (RRC) certification in April of 2019 and has started the Registered Waterproofing Consultant (RWC (https://iibec.org/professional-registrations/rwc)) certification. Once he earns RWC, Bob will achieve the building envelope trifecta and will earn the designation of Registered Building Envelope Consultant (RBEC) – one of only two such registered professionals in the state of Indiana.
"I have always been interested in how building materials are assembled," stated Sanderson. "As my career has progressed, that interest evolved to include building envelope science. The knowledge and best practices learned through IIBEC's educational programs and certification process have complimented that journey allowing me to transform my interest into practical knowledge and application, benefiting both our clients and my career."
